2025 F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix – Jeddah Free Practice 1 results

Pierre Gasly has topped the opening practice session ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

The Alpine driver set an impressive lap time, but his session came close to ending in tears as he got dangerously close to hitting the wall.

Lando Norris was second fastest for McLaren, just 0.007s down on Gasly. However, he endured a messy situation with a couple of off-track excursions.

Charles Leclerc was third ahead of Oscar Piastri, who is riding a wave of momentum following his impressive victory last time out in Bahrain.

The Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda ended the session in ninth and 10th respectively.
