On sale at Micro Center — sort of

This is interesting. Micro Center is seemingly listing an MSI RTX 5060 SHADOW 2X Overclocked Dual Fan 8GB GPU for sale — but only if you buy it in store. There’s no option for shipping and the 18 minute pickup feature is also unavailable.
Even more strangely, the GPU is listed as being discounted. The price here states $299 — which is the MSRP for this configuration.
With still no results from other retailers like Amazon or Nvidia itself, this is interesting but something to perhaps be wary of.
The listings are prepped

Some retailers already have holding pages in place for when their RTX 5060 listings go live.
The screenshot above shows U.K. retailer Scan’s 8GB RTX 5060 listing page with an option to be notified via email once the GPU becomes available.
Checking retailers…

I’m hopeful we’ll start to see the 5060 cards dropping at retailers like Best Buy and Newegg very soon.
Nothing right now, but as usual, these could sell out very fast once they do drop — so you may need to get an order in quickly to secure yours.
RTX 5060 Ti vs RTX 5060

The RTX 5060 Ti was launched in April and comes in two SKUs: 8GB and 16GB with prices starting at $379 for the former and $429 for the latter.

An 18% improvement over the RTX 4060?

We haven’t been able to properly test the RTX 5060 yet, but a some laptop GPU benchmarks have already popped up on Geekbench last month, revealing its OpenCL results.
According to the tests, there’s roughly an 18% average difference compared to an RTX 4060 laptop graphic card. It’s worth noting that Geekbench’s OpenCL, which tests a GPU’s ability for parallel processing, image rendering and more, only offers a general look at how a graphics card can perform.
But it does give us a hint at the RTX 5060 laptop GPU’s performance.
RTX 5060 laptops coming this month

If you’re holding out for an RTX 5060-enabled laptop, then the good news is that several have already been announced with availability this month.
Prices will start at $1,099 and we’ve got confirmation the GPU will be available in the likes of the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S, Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, Alienware 16 Area-51, Razer Blade 16, HP Omen 16, Lenovo Legion 5i Pro and more.
When does stock go on sale?

Nvidia has already confirmed the official launch date of the RTX 5060 is today, May 19 — but we don’t know exactly when stock will become available in your location. However, I’m making a comfortable bet that we’ll start to see stock appearing at 9am ET / 6am PT / 2pm BST.
Why? Well, judging from past events that seems to be the sweet spot for retailers. Stay tuned here to see if that prediction comes true.
Will this budget GPU be good enough?

Let’s be clear, this is a lower-end GPU with 8GB of VRAM and, understandably, there’s been some questions over performance.
We’ve had some time with the RTX 5060 already and, although we were playing under Nvidia’s conditions, the early outlook is promising. We played 5 titles at 1080p under Nvidia’s scenarios and found the games lived up to (and in some cases, slightly exceed) the company’s performance claims.
The RTX 5060 is here! Almost!

Hello and welcome to our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 live blog! If you’re keeping up with the news out of Computex 2025 then you’ll know Nvidia’s entry-level card has just been officially unveiled on stage at Jensen Huang’s Keynote.
Nvidia’s lower-end GPU comes with a $299 price tag and 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and we’re here to help you grab one for yourself. Stay as we’ll be bringing you live updates as the stock goes on sale. Not long to wait…
