A Former Employee Testifies Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Threatened to Kill Kid Cudi

A former employee of Sean Combs testified at his federal trial on Tuesday that he repeatedly threatened her while she was working for him, and that the music mogul once kidnapped her during a jealous rage over a romantic rival.

The woman, Capricorn Clark, testified that Mr. Combs came to her apartment early one morning in December 2011, after he had learned that Casandra Ventura, his longtime on-and-off girlfriend, had been dating the rapper Scott Mescudi, known as Kid Cudi.

Mr. Combs had a gun, Ms. Clark testified, and told her “get dressed, we’re going to go kill” Mr. Mescudi. “I had never seen anything like this before,” Ms. Clark testified.

She said she waited in the car as Mr. Combs and a bodyguard entered Mr. Mescudi’s Los Angeles home while the rapper wasn’t there, the start of a chaotic series of events that lies at the center of the government’s racketeering case.

Ms. Clark, who is the most prominent former employee to testify at the trial so far, grew distraught at times on the stand when recalling the repeated death threats she said she received while on the job, removing her glasses to wipe tears from her eyes.

Mr. Combs is facing sex-trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges, which include accusations that he or his associates kidnapped Ms. Clark twice while she worked for him. The defense has denied that Ms. Clark was ever kidnapped.
