Mac McClung is now a three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion.
McClung threw down several impressive finishes at the Chase Center on Saturday night, winning the 2025 NBA Slam Dunk Contest and becoming the first player to claim the title in three consecutive years.
The Orlando Magic guard set the tone early, jumping over the top of a car and finishing a two-handed reverse jam that earned a perfect score of 50.
McClung didn’t slow down either, receiving flawless scores on each of his four dunks throughout the evening.
This included both of his finishes in the final round. For the first, he grabbed a ball over a friend spinning on a hover board while taking a second ball suspended above the rim and throwing both down simultaneously.
McClung capped off his performance by leaping over Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley, who was standing on a slightly elevated platform, and tapping the ball on the front of the rim before slamming it with two hands.
Fans, pundits and players were in awe of his athletic finishes.
San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle fell to McClung in the final round, but he wrapped up an impressive showing of his own. Castle earned a score of 50 for a behind-the-back jam while spinning, finishing with his left hand.
The rookie couldn’t top McClung’s output in the last round, though.
The 26-year-old joins Nate Robinson as the only players to win the contest three times, although Robinson wasn’t able to accomplish the feat in three straight years.
The 2025 Slam Dunk Contest was a memorable one, with McClung taking home some hardware.
