State of Play Confirmed for Wednesday, 40+ Minutes of PS5 News and Updates

Sony has revealed the first State of Play livestream will take place this Wednesday, 12th February 2025, featuring more than 40 minutes of PS5 game announcements, news, and updates. The showcase starts at 10pm GMT / 2pm PT / 5pm ET.

In the PlayStation Blog post announcing the event, Sony says to expect “news and updates on great games coming to PS5. The show celebrates a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world.” You’ll be able to watch on YouTube and Twitch at the following times:

• North America: 2pm PST / 3pm MST / 4pm CST / 5pm EST
• UK/Ire: 10pm GMT
• Europe: 11pm CET / 12am (Thu) EET
• Asia/Oceania: 7am (Thu) JST / 6am (Thu) AWST / 9am (Thu) AEDT

As for what sort of announcements we might see during the show, the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer that recently leaked — confirming a 28th August 2025 release — seems all but locked in. Hell Is Us is another likely prospect after the game was listed for pre-order on the Xbox Store. As for first-party possibilities, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei are the most probable candidates.
