The Baltimore Ravens took a 10-3 halftime lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that will determine which team wins the AFC North and the playoff spot that comes with it.
Baltimore struck first on Lamar Jackson’s 38-yard touchdown pass to Devontez Walker on a 4th-and-3 play. The Ravens extended their lead to 10-0 early in the second quarter on a 40-yard field goal by Tyler Loop.
Pittsburgh got on the board after Chris Boswell booted a 57-yard field goal midway through the second quarter. The Steelers were turned back, however, after Kenny Gainwell was stonewalled by two Ravens defenders on first-and-goal from Baltimore’s 1-yard-line on the final play of the half.
The Ravens received a stellar first half from Derrick Henry, who ran for 112 yards on 15 carries. Jackson went 4 of 6 for 59 yards and was sacked three times. Aaron Rodgers threw 25 times, but completed just 15 of his attempts for 98 yards as Pittsburgh’s offense continues to struggle without DK Metcalf. The Steelers’ best offensive player in the first half was Gainwell, who caught six passes for 42 yards.
Penalties prevented the Ravens from taking a bigger halftime lead. The Ravens were flagged six times for 68 yards, with several of those penalties negating big plays by Henry and Jackson.
