Taylor Swift on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Taylor Swift plans to stick around for far longer than a fortnight. 

Ahead of her six-part docuseries, which will premiere on Disney+ Dec. 12, the Grammy winner joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show during which she discussed some of the criticisms she faces in her career—though with a caveat. 

“I try really hard,” she noted during the Dec. 10 episode, “not to do the like, ‘Oh my God, there’s no one who can relate to what I’m going through.’ Like nobody wants to hear that, I don’t want to hear that.”

She is, however, aware of the some of the noise.

“I think there are certain corners of our society that really love and look up to longevity,” she began. “There’s also corners that are like, ‘Give someone else a turn. Can’t you just go away so we can talk about how good you were?’”

Her response? “I don’t want to.”
