A WHITE Lotus fan favorite will appear on Survivor 50 as the full cast is being revealed with filming already underway.
Survivor 50 will feature a cast of all returning players through the years.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal one of those returning players is White Lotus director Mike White.
“Mike [White] is official. They got him,” a source told The U.S. Sun.
“It was really important for Mike to do it, he loves this show more than people will ever understand and this is probably his last shot to return.
“He’s admitted to throwing the final tribal council when he was on 37 because he felt bad taking the money.
“He’s no holds barred this time, he’s going at it full force and wants to be the sole Survivor more than anything.”
The insider also revealed the cast and crew have officially left for Fiji on Tuesday, May 27, as Season 50 is “now filming.”
“The season 50 contestants were all flown to Los Angeles this week,” the source alleged. “Their phones were taken from them and they’re taking stricter precautions to not have any leaks.”
The source also claimed casting this season has been a “bloodbath.”
“There’s some bad blood between the producers and the contestants who got cut last minute and poured their heart, sweat and tears into basically a year-long casting process that ended up being for nothing,” the insider alleged.
The season 50 cast was announced by Jeff Probst on CBS Mornings on May 28.
The cast includes returning stars Jenna Lewis Dougherty, Colby Donaldson, Stephanie Lagrossa Kendrick, Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, Benjamin “Coach” Wade, Aubry Bracco, Chrissy Hofbeck, Christian Hubicki, Angelina Keeley, Rick Devens, Jonathan Young and Emily Flippen.
The season will also feature stars Dee Valladares, Tiffany Nicole Ervin, Q, Charlie Davis, Genevieve Mushaluk, Kamilla Karthigesu, Joe Hunter, Kyle Fraser and of course, Mike.
Mike appeared on Survivor’s 37th season and was placed in the “Goliath” tribe.
He said his celebrity status didn’t guarantee a spot on the CBS series.
“I had to stay for a week at the Sheraton Universal, which I think was the hardest part of the process for me,” he told IndieWire. “Because I was stuck on the Universal lot for five days on lockdown.
“I just had to go through the same process as everyone else—all the auditions and the different cuts.”
Since Mike’s appearance on the show, he has director the successful White Lotus series on Max.
The series just finished airing its third season that took place in Thailand on Max.
This comes after we revealed that Carolyn Wiger was ‘furious’ after she was ‘cut’ from Survivor 50.
A source claimed: ”Carolyn was told she had a spot on Survivor 50 but now it’s not happening.
“It wasn’t signed yet but they verbally told her she would be on but just cut her. Without warning.”
The insider added that Carolyn’s “blood is boiling” and she is “furious” about the decision.
“She’s upset mainly because of the reason – she fully believes the producers have a chip on their shoulder about Survivor players who go on to do other shows.
“I mean, Jeff himself has even said that he has a problem with it. She feels she was done dirty and feels the producers need to get over it, people go on other shows all the time, it’s how they make money.
“They cannot be mad at their contestants for staying employed, it’s f**king ridiculous.
“Carolyn wasn’t the only one cut, a few other players from more recent seasons also found out they didn’t make it.”
